We also represent the interests of the population from the “Comarca Sur de El Torcal de Antequera” and we are supported by the Hotel La Fuente del Sol, the Hotel Antequera Golf, the Hotel Convento de la Magdalena, Lobopark and the Club/Escuela de Parapente Abdalajís.

    Our platform aims to preserve the natural beauty of the area and keep the way of life because it would be seriously damaged because of a windmill farm.

    “La Zona Sur del Torcal” has a nature reserve (Torcal de Antequera). It is a main touristic place for heeking, birds watching and country holidays. Installing turbines in the area (what the Windmill Farm “Los Lentiscares” aims to be, would cause an economic disaster to the area, because it would damage the fauna and break the nice views, reducing the tourism and erasing one of the main economical sources of  the local people.

    It is very important not to forget and emphasize that all the preparation process, and presentation of the turbines installation proyect for this area has been (and still beeing) ilegal due to a leak of a public poll. They did not care a thing about the population from Sur del Torcal. This proyect was made in an underhanded manner ignoring Spanish and European legislation.
